Chlorantraniliprole
Chlorantraniliprole is a highly effective systemic insecticide belonging to the anthranilic diamide class. It acts mainly via stomach poisoning with contact activity, and kills pests by activating ryanodine receptors in muscle cells, causing abnormal release of calcium ions and muscular paralysis. It is especially effective against lepidopteran larvae, and also controls certain hemipteran and coleopteran pests. Featuring strong systemic translocation and a long duration of efficacy (over 14 days), it shows high safety to mammals, birds, bees and aquatic organisms. It is widely used on rice, vegetables, fruit trees, cotton and other crops to control striped rice borer, rice leaf roller, diamondback moth, cotton bollworm and other pests, with no cross-resistance to conventional insecticides.
